How To Take Care of Veneers: Aftercare Guide
Veneers are designed to transform your smile, but they still need care to last.
Follow a few simple aftercare steps, and your veneers will keep your smile flawless for years.
✔ Brush and floss regularly – Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and non-abrasive fluoride toothpaste to gently clean your veneers twice a day. Floss daily to remove plaque and food particles.
✔ Use a mouth guard if you grind your teeth – If you have bruxism (teeth grinding), wearing a night guard can protect your veneers from damage.
✔ Stay on top of dental checkups – Regular dental visits (every six months) help detect potential issues early and keep your veneers in top shape.
✔ Eat with care – While veneers are durable, it’s best to avoid using your teeth as tools to open packages or bite down on extremely hard foods.
✔Avoid abrasive toothpaste, drinking excessive coffee, tea, or red wine - these can stain natural teeth, and while porcelain veneers resist staining, composite veneers can discolor over time.
