According to the World Health Organization, oral diseases affect 1 in 2 people in the world. 🌏🦷

Affecting 3.9 billion people, untreated oral disease is the most common unmet healthcare needs globally. Untreated tooth decay is the most prevalent disease of mankind and more than 530 million children suffer from untreated dental cavities in the primary teeth.

Keep in mind that prevention is always better than cure! Regular dental checkups and good oral hygiene are key to preventing cavities.

Visit your dentist regularly, at least every six months for a dental cleaning (oral prophylaxis). You might also consider newer dental treatments including dental sealants and fluoride treatment to lower the cavity risk in children and teens.

Don't risk yourself by wearing cheap and fake braces! ❌

No one other than a licensed dentist and orthodontist should be adjusting your teeth. Do It Yourself (DIY) braces are illegal and does not follow the proper standard treatment.

Here are some risks of having fake braces:

• Wearer is prone to poisoning because of the possible toxic chemicals used in the rubber bands or lead in the metals.

• It may cause choking since the braces can slip into the wearer’s throat during fitting.

• It may cause tooth decay and discoloration due to the adhesive used to attach the braces.

• Possible severe inflammation and gum infection can occur.
