"Magkano po ang cleaning?"

Yung complete price list namin ay nakalagay sa Calendly link. Pag-click niyo lang sa booking link sa baba, makikita niyo lahat - cleaning, restoration, extraction, dentures, lahat. Walang hidden fees, walang "tatanungin pa namin si Doc."

"Tumatanggap ba kayo ng HMO?"

Sa ngayon po, hindi pa. Pero tumatanggap kami ng:
Cash
GCash
Bank transfer
Debit at credit card

What's easiest for you, kaya namin i-process.

"Masakit ba talaga ang bunot?"

Hindi po, kapag tama yung anesthesia. Yung pinakamahirap na part for most people, yung kaba bago pa magsimula. Yung mismong procedure, mas easy than you imagine. 😊

"Pwede ba walk-in?"

Pwede po sa parehong branches. Pero ina-prioritize namin yung naka-appointment, kaya posible kayong maghintay. Mas gaan kung naka-Calendly book na.

"May parking po ba?"

Yes po, sa parehong branches.

"Ano kung matagal ko nang hindi nag-pa-check?"

Yan yung pinakacommon na tanong na hindi tinatanong.

Walang judgement. Hindi kayo unang pasyente naming nag-DIY muna sa bahay, o nag-wait ng tatlong taon, o nahihiya umamin sa kondisyon ng ngipin. Pumunta lang kayo. Pag-uusapan natin yung options.

Yung parte ng appointment na hindi mo nakikita.

Pagkaalis ng pasyente, dalawang bagay na sabay nangyayari sa likod.

Yung mga ginamit na instrumento, dinadala agad sa autoclave para sa full sterilization cycle. Hindi rinse-and-reuse. Hindi quick-wipe. Full cycle.

Habang nag s-sterilize yung set na yan, may bago nang ibang set na nakahanda para sa susunod mong appointment.

Ganun din sa room mismo. Lahat ng surface, pinupunasan ng disinfectant. Dental chair, suction lines, light handles, kahit yung mga parte na hindi naman hinawakan ng pasyente. Bagong set of barriers, bagong cup, bagong bib. Walang ginagamit nang pa ulit ulit.

Pagpasok mo sa room, parang first patient pa rin. 🤩 Kahit ikaw na yung pang-anim.

Hindi po namin ito ipinagyayabang. Standard procedure dapat ito sa bawat clinic. Pero alam naming may konting kaba pa rin ang ibang pasyente, lalo na pagkatapos ng pandemic. So heto, transparent.

Kung may itatanong kayo tungkol sa sterilization, infection control, o kahit ano pang process, sagot kami. Itanong niyo lang.

"Doc, nakakahiya kase DIY ko lang yan. Dinikit ko lang sya kase nasira na yan."

Yan yung sinabi ng isang pasyente namin two weeks ago.

Pumasok siya sa clinic for a simple tooth restoration. Pero nung tiningnan namin, nakita namin yung lumang pustiso niya. Putol na pala. At dinikit lang niya sa sarili niyang pamamaraan dahil kulang sa budget para sa bago.

Hindi po nakakahiya yan, ma'am.

Ang ginawa ni Ma'am na DIY. Ay temporary solution, small decisions na marami sa atin ang gumagawa. Mas mahalaga muna yung pamilya. Yung bills. At marami pang iba.

After almost two weeks of treatment, umalis siya sa clinic with a complete smile - properly restored tooth at bagong-bagong dentures na fitted nang tama.

Posted with patient's consent. Salamat at pumayag siya na i-share namin yung kuwento, para sa iba na baka kapareho ng nararamdaman niya.

Sa lahat ng "DIY-natin-muna" na patient out there:
Pumunta na lang kayo. Walang judgement. Kakausapin namin kayo on what's possible within your budget.

Happy Mother's Day 🤍

Sa lahat ng trabaho sa mundo, isa lang ang walang dayoff: ang maging nanay.

Walang sick leave. Walang holiday pay. Walang clock-out.

Sa mga nanay na nasa bahay buong araw, nagluluto, naglilinis, nag-aaral kasabay ng mga anak, salamat po sa hindi nakikitang trabaho.

Sa mga nanay na nag-aalaga ng pamilya bago at pagkatapos ng eight-hour shift, salamat po sa double duty na ginagawa niyo araw-araw.

Sa mga mommies na kasalukuyan naming inaalagaan sa Santa Maria at SJDM branches, salamat sa tiwala niyo sa amin. Para sa inyo at para sa mga anak niyo, andito kami.

At sa lahat ng nanay sa team namin, na umuuwi sa pamilya pagkatapos mag-alaga ng ngipin ng iba, salamat sa lahat ng ibinibigay niyo.

Sana ngayong araw, kayo naman ang inaalagaan, kahit isang araw lang.

Bukas, Mother's Day. May isang booking ka pa bang puwedeng gawin para sa kanya?

Si Mama, siya yung nag-aalala kung kumain ka na.

Siya yung nagre-remind na magtoothbrush ka bago matulog.

Siya yung nagbabantay ng appointment ng lahat sa bahay, pero yung sa kanya, laging "sa susunod na lang."

This Mother's Day, baliktarin natin yan.

A dental cleaning is one of the few gifts na may long-term return: better health, mas confident na ngiti, at isang oras kung saan siya naman ang inaalagaan, hindi siya yung nag-aalaga.

Brushing right after meal? Pwedeng maka sira ng ngipin. 😱

Most people think brushing agad after eating is the responsible move.

It's actually the opposite. After acidic food and drinks, your enamel softens for about 30 minutes.

Brushing during that window scrubs the softened layer away, faster than acid alone would.

And the list of "acidic" is longer than you think for the typical Pinoy meal:
✓ Softdrinks and iced tea kasama ng merienda
✓ Calamansi juice, dalandan, pineapple
✓ Suka-based ulam: adobo, paksiw, kinilaw, kare-kare with bagoong
✓ Sinigang, sinampalukan, anything sour
✓ Sports drinks and energy drinks

What to do instead:
✓ Rinse with plain water right after eating
✓ Wait 30 minutes before brushing
✓ Use a straw for softdrinks and juices when you can
✓ A small piece of cheese after a sour meal helps neutralize the acid

Small habits, pero malaking tipid sa pasta, veneer, at restoration bills sa long run. 😁
