Nagbabala ang Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST) ukol sa mataas na antas ng sulfur dioxide emission mula sa Taal Volcano na nagdudulot ng volcanic smog o vog.

ANO ANG EPEKTO NG VOG?

Maaring magdulot ito ng iritasyon sa mga mata, lalamunan at respiratory tract na maaaring maging malubha depende sa konsentrasyon o tagal ng pagkalanghap.

Mapanganib ang volcanic smog sa may mga kondisyon sa kalusugan tulad ng hika, sakit sa baga, sakit sa puso, matatanda, mga buntis at mga bata.

MGA DAPAT GAWIN AYON SA PHIVOLCS:
1. Iwasan ang mga outdoor activities. Manatili sa bahay at isara ang mga pinto at bintana.

2. Dalasan ang pag-inom ng tubig upang maibsan ang iristasyon o paninikip ng daluyan ng paghinga.

3. Protektahan ang sarili, gumamit ng nararapat na N95 face masks o gas mask

4. Magpatingin agad sa doktor o barangay health unit kung makakaranas ng matinding epekto.

Wala pong anunsiyo na magkakaroon ng kanselasyon ng klase dahil sa Volcanic Smog as of 8:45 am.

Makipag-ugnayan sa Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office o sa E-Serbisyong May Puso Action Center.
