Today’s little patient is extra special—my niece, who came in for her oral prophylaxis (professional teeth cleaning). 💕
Oral prophylaxis is more than just making teeth look clean. It helps remove plaque and calculus (tartar) that regular brushing and flossing may not completely eliminate. Regular professional cleanings, together with proper daily brushing and flossing, help maintain healthy teeth and gums and prevent oral problems.

For children, starting dental visits early is especially important. It helps them become comfortable in the dental chair and, more importantly, teaches them that taking care of their teeth is part of taking care of their overall health. 🌱🪥
