OVER-RETAINED BABY TEETH

One of the most common concerns with over retained baby teeth is patients having a double row of teeth when the new permanent ones come in.

Sometimes the permanent tooth will not resorb the root of the baby tooth. The permanent tooth will then take the path of least resistance.

I typically give the patients one or two weeks to wiggle them out. If they cannot do it in that time period, I will often recommend extraction of the over retained baby tooth.

We are pleased to begin reopening for some urgent procedures at our clinic starting on Monday (May 25, 2020).

We are putting extra measures in place to make sure patients and staff are safe at our clinic:

✅ Daily temperature and symptom checks for all patients

✅ Adding time between procedures to allow for extra cleaning, in addition to our normal sanitizing and disinfecting processes.

✅ Strictly by APPOINTMENT

✅ Reducing physical contact

✅ Wear a mask while at the clinic

✅ Staff wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) while caring for patients, including masks, gowns and face shields

✅ Cut off time for patients will be 4:30 pm only.

Due to the rising number of positive cases of COVID-19, we will impose strict preventive measure upon entering the clinic.

1, NO MASK, NO ENTRY.
All patients must wear face mask (can be surgical mask, n95 mask, cloth mask, etc) upon entering the clinic.

2. NO APPOINTMENT, NO ENTRY.
We encouraged everyone to contact us thru our distinct contact numbers listed below before coming to the clinic. Patients with no appointment will not be allowed to enter the clinic, unless patient is in an emergency situation. This is to avoid overcrowding inside the clinic.

3. To observe proper social distancing, only 2 patients are allowed to get inside the clinic.

4. Everyone entering the clinic will be subject to body temperature check. Patients with fever, cough, and flu like symptoms will not be allowed to enter the clinic.

5. Patients ages 17 years old and below are only allowed with one accompanying individual.

6. Cut off time for patients will be 4:30 pm only.

7. Patients with travel history on COVID-19 affected areas are very much discouraged to visit the clinic. Please stay at home and observe HOME QUARANTINE.

In times like these we asking everyone to cooperate as we collectively work together with the governments effort in trying to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Thank you very much and stay safe.

At this time, as we soon to open our clinic, we are only accepting patients with urgent care need and patients with confirmed appointments. Additionally, we are limiting patients to one accompanying individual only and have established specific COVID-19 screening measures.
