I would love to think of this fresh new year full of opportunities and new challenges like Orthodontic treatment as an analogy.

Orthodontics is a long term treatment, so is your course of Dentistry.

I think we have to treat it too in such a way,
As we would do braces on patients.

To be patient during every adjustment,

As with every passing semester and years,
As you move slightly closer to your dream.

Adjusting braces may be painful at times,
So does setbacks in your pursuit of Dentistry.

Sometimes things break 💔
Like a bracket out of it's place.

But as with any silver lining,
They can be glued back and the journey continues.

Movements are slow and it takes time.

We know the effects of rapid orthodontic treatment, it may cause severe damage and to avoid relapse when they are taken off too early.

Adjust.

Don't rush in your personal dentistry journey.

Slowly but surely investing into this pursuit of Dentistry,

Like braces waiting for it's graduation to be removed and shine its long awaited smile.

As your smile will be worth it once you have DMD on your name.

As with any great pursuit, the journey after DMD on your name is an end to something, and a beginning to the next phase.
