🦷EPULIS FISSURATUM🦷
If you notice folds of firm tissue in the vestibule of the mouth, this may ba an epulis fissuratum. Epulis fissuratum is a benign, non-cancerous overgrowth of fibrous tissue in the mouth. It is a reactive lesion caused by irritation of wearing poorly fitting dentures. Treatment involves surgical removak of excess tissue or replacing the causing denture.
