Typhoon Kristine has brought a lot of havoc. I am reminded of my childhood when going out of the house was impossible as the gust of wind would push you down and the torrent of rain makes vision quite blurry. i remembered i loved those days because i get to lie down for the whole day and read and read and read... there was no electric power so we used candles at night... it was then before bedtime that our father would tell us stories... he taught me why moths are attracted to the light and insisted that when i grow up, i should not succumb to temptation however enticing it will be, or i will end up like the moth- dead... those days at home made me pray for others who are suffering from the storm, and it was during those times that i learned the importance of planting trees to avoid landslides... my father used the typhoons to teach me so much about life... and to appreciate what God created.. my father taught me to love the thunder and lightning as these show the power of God... he taught me to love the rain as it symbolized God's favor to men, bringing blessings in more ways than one.. ah... now at the age of 54, am missing my dad and wishing i can be a child again....
