Ordinary Partials vs. Flexible Partials: Which one is better?

🦷ORDINARY PARTIAL DENTURE (ACRYLIC)
✅ Pros:
• Durable (especially metal-based)
• Easier to repair or add teeth if needed
• More affordable than flexible options
• More stable when designed properly
• Good for long-term use
❌ Cons:
• Less esthetic, especially if metal clasps are visible
• Can feel bulky in the mouth
• May cause sore spots if not fitted well
• Rigid, so may be uncomfortable at first

🦷FLEXIBLE PARTIAL DENTURE
✅ Pros:
• Highly esthetic – gum-colored clasps blend naturally
• Very comfortable – soft and flexible
• Lightweight and easy to wear
• Ideal for patients allergic to metal
❌ Cons:
• More expensive
• Harder to repair or adjust
• Less durable over time (can wear out or stretch)
