Want to have dental crowns but don’t want metal that form grey lines around the gums? Say no more because we offer different types of dental crowns here at Djem Dental Clinic!
This patient wanted to have crowns to correct the shape of her teeth from canine to canine and to close the gap between her 2 front teeth. She is okay with porcelain fused to metal crowns but her concern is the formation of black/grey lines near the gums so we advised her to choose porcelain used to tilite crowns instead.
What is the difference between PORCELAIN FUSED TO METAL CROWNS and PORCELAIN FUSED TO TILITE CROWNS?
PORCELAIN FUSED TO METAL CROWNS (PFM) use an ordinary, less-expensive metal alloy, potentially causing a grey line at the gumline, while PORCELAIN FUSED TO METAL TILITE CROWNS (PFM Tilite) use a white, biocompatible, semi-precious metal called Tilite, which is more esthetic, longer-lasting, and reduces the risk of the grey line or gum issues.
Tilite provides a more natural appearance and is considered a safer, high-quality option than standard PFM.
Check our patient’s feedback on how satisfied she is with her tilite crowns! She’s even prettier now with her brand new confident smile! 🦷💎
