"Worry less, smile more!" ✨
Actual patient and case 💛
Most of the time, we assume that a severely damaged or decayed tooth can no longer be saved. But not every case needs to end with an extraction. 🦷
In this case, the patient had a severely carious tooth that was still considered restorable. Instead of extracting the tooth, she underwent Root Canal Treatment (RCT) to preserve and retain her natural tooth.
After the root canal treatment, a crown was presented as one of the treatment options to provide additional protection and strength to the tooth. However, the patient opted for a same-day restoration.
A fiber-reinforced restoration was performed to help reinforce the remaining tooth structure while restoring its function and appearance. 💛
But always remember that every case is different and treatment options depend on the condition of the tooth, prognosis, and the patient's needs and preferences.
Don’t assume your tooth needs to be extracted, have it assessed first. Sometimes, saving your natural tooth is still possible. ✨
