A small orthodontic bracket and gold chain are then attached to the tooth, allowing the orthodontist to apply gentle forces over several months to move the canine into alignment. This treatment helps protect neighboring teeth, reduces the risk of cyst formation, and preserves the function and appearance of the natural canine tooth.
