Mesiodens is an extra tooth (supernumerary tooth) that's located in between or behind
our upper two front teeth or what we call 'central incisors'.
If untreated, it can cause malocclusion, speech deficiency, food accumulation (dental caries) and poor aesthetics.

At age 7-8 years old if you think your child has a pointed tooth in between/behind their upper front teeth,
Visit your nearest dentist for a checkup (and usually a periapical x-ray will be needed) and immediate dental treatment.
