Entre mis memorias mas tempranas cuento visitas al pueblo de mi abuelo, odontólogo rural quién nunca conocí, pero cuyo sello se reveló en vecinos y amigos mostrándome con orgullo los trabajos bucales que el doctor les había hecho hace diez, veinte, treinta años sin haber fallado desde entonces. Dentistry has always been my calling. Among my earliest memories are visits to the hometown of my grandfather, a rural dentist who I never met but whose signature remained in the form of old neighbors and friends who proudly showed me the dental work he had done for them which was still going strong ten, twenty, thirty years later.
