Restoring Function and Aesthetics with Composite Bonding

In this case, the upper teeth were significantly worn down over time. Using a diagnostic wax-up and try-in, we carefully evaluated and determined the ideal length for the teeth. This process allowed us to plan precisely and restore the teeth with composite, achieving a natural appearance and improved function.

🦷 At 76 years old, with no supported occlusal units and significant wear on the anterior teeth, this patient sought our dental expertise.

The primary concern? Enhancing the aesthetics of the anterior teeth. After explanation and obtaining informed consent, we embarked on the treatment journey together. Despite anticipating potential challenges such as future chipping and accelerated wear of the composites due to the absence of posterior support, our commitment remained towards achieving the best possible outcome.

While this treatment may be ideal, the joy on our patient’s face makes it all worthwhile.

This teen skipped her occlusal retainer, causing some incisal chipping. We opted for a split dam due to the fixed retainer, and importantly, we checked the anterior guidance before and after the composite bonding.
