Applications are now open for the 2026 Oral Health Professional Educators’ Awards!

ADEE is delighted to continue its partnership with Henry Schein, Inc. and EDSA - European Dental Students Association to recognise the efforts of dental schools and organisations advancing environmental sustainability and social responsibility within oral health education.

Eligible dental schools and organisations are encouraged to apply and highlight their contributions to a more sustainable, inclusive, and equitable future for oral health.

//ERO-FDI Plenary Session in Sofia, Bulagria

On April 23rd–25th, Research Officer Adam Javorček and Policy Officer Anna Fedorova represented EDSA at ERO-FDI Plenary Session in Sofia.

It was an opportunity to present its recent educational and research initiatives while exchanging insights with leading European dental stakeholders on the future of dentistry, oral health policy, sustainability, digitalisation, and dental education.

Most importantly, the plenary session marked the successful outcome of the ERO-FDI Scientific Reward competition organized in collaboration with EDSA, which received 35 submissions from dental students and young dentists across Europe.

To***co affects more than lungs - it leaves visible and invisible marks on oral and overall health. From tooth discoloration and delayed healing to periodontal disease, potentially malignant disorders and oral cancer, its impact reaches far beyond what many patients realize.

As dental students and future oral health professionals, we are in a unique position to recognize early signs, educate our patients and promote healthier choices through prevention, awareness and timely intervention.

Because sometimes, one conversation… can be the first step toward change.
