This is a myth.
In most diabetic patients, loss of sensation in the feet is one of the side effects. This can be due to poor circulation and peripheral neuropathy. Loss of sensation causes patients to not feel pain and sometimes they aren't aware they have an injury. Neglecting foot ulcers can lead to worse cases like; ischemia and amputation. Self-care is very essential because it helps patients take notice of this injury on time. Patients who have foot ulcers should contact us for proper management.
