A MOMENT OF PROGRESS, COURAGE AND HOPE. ❤️‍🩹🦿
Today, we celebrate a meaningful milestone in our patient's prosthetic journey: moving without support for the first time after completing his AK prosthesis.
Moments like this remind us that prosthetics is not just about providing a device. It's about helping people regain mobility, rebuild confidence, and work towards greater independence.
Every journey is different, and every step forward deserves to be celebrated.
At LIMBS-CARE TECHNOLOGY, we are committed to supporting lives beyond limb loss.
One step at a time. One milestone at a time. 🦿✨

Hyper-Realistic Silicone finger Prosthesis…🤚🏾✨⚙️✅

Sometimes, restoring hope starts with helping someone take one step. 🦿❤️

A new prosthesis can feel unfamiliar at first. The balance, the movement, the confidence — everything has to be learned.

But with the right fit, rehabilitation, patience, and determination, those first uncertain steps can become a pathway to independence.

We don’t just see a prosthesis.
We see possibility.
We see confidence returning.
We see a chance for an extraordinary life.

🚨 Before you blame your feet, check your shoes!

That constant pressure from tight or narrow shoes can contribute to the progression of hallux valgus (bunions).

Your feet carry you every day—so make sure your footwear supports them, not squeezes them. 👣

Right fit. Better comfort. Healthier feet.

The limb may be gone, but the sensation can still feel very real. 🦿🧠

Phantom sensation and phantom limb pain can occur after amputation, with some individuals experiencing sensations such as tingling, pressure, movement, or even pain in the missing limb.

One rehabilitation approach that may help is Mirror Therapy. By using visual feedback from the intact limb, the brain is encouraged to reinterpret the missing limb and, in some cases, reduce uncomfortable phantom sensations or pain.

But rehabilitation doesn’t stop there. Depending on the individual, other approaches may include:
• Proper residual-limb care and desensitization
• Physical rehabilitation and therapeutic exercises
• Prosthetic rehabilitation and gait training
• Relaxation and pain-management techniques
• Appropriate psychological and emotional support
• Clinical assessment and individualized rehabilitation planning

Phantom sensations are real, and they deserve proper attention.
Early assessment and a multidisciplinary approach can make a meaningful difference in an amputee’s rehabilitation journey.

You may not notice scoliosis at first. But the spine does.

As a child grows, a spinal curve can progress.

This is why early assessment, monitoring and appropriate management are so important.

This Boston Brace was carefully cast, designed and trial-fitted to the patient — because orthotic treatment should never be one-size-fits-all.

Behind every brace is a patient.

And behind every patient is a future worth caring for. 💙

One device. One step at a time. One visible difference. 👣

After surgery, foot drop and reduced ankle control can make walking more challenging and may affect foot positioning during gait.

This video shows the difference between walking without an AFO and walking with AFO support to help improve ankle stability and positioning.

Every patient deserves an orthotic solution that is carefully assessed and appropriately fitted to their individual needs.

Watch the video and tell us what difference you noticed.

A finished KAFO, ready for fitting! 🦿

A lot goes into producing an orthotic device—from assessment and measurements to casting, fabrication, alignment, and finishing.

The goal is simple: to provide the user with the support and stability they need to improve their functional mobility.

The next step is fitting, assessment, and necessary adjustments to achieve the best possible outcome.

STROKE → WRIST DROP → ORTHOTIC INTERVENTION 🖐️

Following a stroke, weakness can affect the ability of the wrist and hand to maintain a functional position.

In this case, a cock-up splint was fitted to provide wrist support and help maintain a more functional position as part of the patient’s rehabilitation journey.

From assessment to fitting, every detail matters.

It’s not just about making a splint. It’s about understanding the patient, identifying the need, and providing the right support.

What orthotic intervention would you consider for a patient presenting with wrist drop following stroke? 👇
