💋 DRY LIPS = BAD BREATH? 🤔🦷

Ever noticed your lips feeling dry while your breath doesn't feel so fresh? There's actually a connection worth knowing! 👀

When your mouth is dry, there may be less saliva to wash away food particles and bacteria. This can allow odour-causing bacteria to build up and contribute to bad breath.

Here are some common causes of dry lips and dry mouth:
💧 Not drinking enough fluids
👅 Frequently licking your lips
😴 Breathing through your mouth while sleeping
🦷 Reduced saliva flow, which may contribute to bad breath

✔️ Drink enough water throughout the day
✔️ Use a gentle, fragrance-free lip balm
✔️ Avoid repeatedly licking or picking your lips
✔️ Maintain good oral hygiene

🦷 Just Had a Tooth Extraction? Save This! 📌

Getting a tooth extracted is only the first step — what you do afterwards matters too.

Here are some simple DOs & DON'Ts to help support healing after a tooth extraction:

✅ Bite firmly on the gauze as instructed
✅ Choose soft, cool or room-temperature foods
✅ Keep your mouth clean
❌ Don't rinse or spit forcefully during the first 24 hours
❌ Don't smoke or v**e
❌ Avoid strenuous exercise
❌ Don't touch or disturb the extraction site

And most importantly, if you experience persistent bleeding, increasing pain or swelling, fever, discharge, or symptoms that are getting worse, contact your dentist.
