“Implants are NOT just screws… and this is why.”
This patient came to us unhappy with a previous implant done elsewhere:
“Doc, something just doesn’t look right. Can you fix it?”
At first glance, many people think it’s just the crown.
But in reality, implant aesthetics come down to TWO critical components:
The Pink (Gum)
– Lack of keratinized gum
– Poor volume and contour
– Shallow sulcus
– Muscle pulling on the gum
The White (Tooth)
– Incorrect proportions
– Poor positioning
– Wrong shape, color, and contours
👉 The truth? The position of the implant placed made it very difficult to restore and achieve the desired results.

Back teeth fillings can often be challenging due to limited accessibility, making the procedure more difficult for both the dentist and the patient.
A patient recently presented with discomfort in a tooth that had been filled by her previous dentist. Shortly after the procedure, she began experiencing sensitivity.

Radiographs (X-rays) are absolutely essential to assess what cannot be seen with the naked eye. In this case, diagnostic imaging and vitality tests were performed to evaluate the condition of the tooth and ensure the appropriate treatment plan was proposed.

Dr Eddy Loo carefully removed the old filling, all decay was thoroughly cleaned, and the tooth was rebuilt using a zeiss dental surgical microscope to ensure precision and optimal results.

Problem solved! The patient left happy and comfortable once again.

At Clarity Dental, we work together as a team to give the best possible for every case.. Gum recession should be managed even it’s the Back tooth !!!
Managing gum recession, with or without symptoms, isn’t about simply “slapping something white.” A quick fix can sometimes lead to a quick failure.
Everything begins with proper examination and diagnosis — understanding why the problem occurred. Once the etiology is identified, treatment can be planned for long-term success, not just short-term relief.

Mr. X presented with pain in a previously root canal–treated tooth and a fractured restoration. He recalled that discomfort started after large fillings were placed to manage sensitivity.

Treatment sequence:
Removal of overhang composite → Periodontal assessment → Re-RCT → NSPT → Gum graft surgery → Periodontal re-assessment → Crown placement
**Evidence shows that a root canal–treated tooth without coronal coverage is up to six times more likely to fracture. 
A properly contoured and design crown provides cuspal protection, restores form and function, and it supports the health of the surrounding periodontal tissues.
