Not every denture problem is an “adaptation issue.”

Started the first quarter of the year with a 💥

Honoured and deeply grateful to receive 1st Prize for my presentation at the MDA–MADOH Disability-Friendly Dental Practice Programme, held in conjunction with the 33rd MDA SCATE 2026: Clinical Dentistry – Today and Beyond at KL Convention Centre.
The Tooth Dr is one of the first two private dental practices in Malaysia to be officially certified!

For years, I’ve spoken about accessibility and inclusivity in dentistry — sometimes to rooms that weren’t quite ready to have the conversation. So winning this feels incredibly meaningful.

This isn’t just an award. It’s progress. 💪🏾

Creating a safe, dignified and accessible space for patients with disabilities has always been part of my ethos — not a trend, not a checkbox.

What makes me happiest is seeing the growing awareness around inclusive healthcare. The conversation is getting louder. The room is getting fuller.

And I truly hope that next year, we see even more participants stepping forward to build practices that leave no one behind.

I was invited to speak about the impact of oral health as we age by Third Age Media Association on the 24th May at Tun Tan Cheng Lock College of Nursing for the “Living Your Golden Years : Reaching Out, Touching Lives event.

It was great to be sharing the platform with fellow colleagues who are passionate about healthy ageing, and as big thank you to Dr Chen Queen Liung, for introducing me. We covered topics from sleep health to gut issues faced as we age.

I do hope that this helps build awareness around healthy ageing and how oral oral health plays a vital role in overall health.
