Just a sharing of the story of one of my orthodontic patient. This patient expressed her greatest gratitude upon completion of her braces journey at Klinik Pergigian Lavender. Yes i have completed hundreds or even thousands of orthodontic cases since postgrad and throughout over 10 years of my career as orthodontist specialist, not to say patients never show gratitude on completion of braces treatment but not to that extent of this patient. As she elaborates further, for years since teenager time she has been seeking braces treatment either at government orthodontic specialist clinic as well as private clinics, however she was informed that her case is complex and need jaw surgery with braces. She did not wish to undergo jaw surgery and thought that she will never get her teeth aligned. Finally she met me about 3 years ago for braces consultation. The case is tough as it is not just the problem of teeth alignment but also involve jaw imbalance. I proposed jaw surgery again she refused, asking any possibilities of correction without surgery. I agreed to give it a try but explained that result will be compromised. When she had the braces completed 6 months ago, she was very satisfied with the results. Not to say the end result is perfect or even near to ideal, but at least there is a huge difference of her teeth and facial appearance. I was so contented and all the hard works paid off!!
分享一个绑牙病人的经历。拆除牙套当天她对我表达了很深的感激。我至今已完成几百上千个绑牙个案，不是说其他人不感激，但不至于这个程度。原来她从青年时期就已寻求绑牙治疗，不管是政府绑牙专科或私人牙科，但都被告知她的情况需要正颚手术来矫正。但她不想做手术，从此她以为这辈子都无法改善她的牙齿排列。直到大约3年前她来咨询我，当时我也一样建议正颚手术，同样的她拒绝手术，并询问我有没有可能不用手术能改善。由于她的个案属于高难度，我告诉她单靠绑牙的话治疗结果不会很理想。当6个月前我拆除牙套时，她对出来的效果感到非常满意。看到治疗前后的差距，一路来的辛苦都是值得的!
