This patient came to us with an upper dental bridge that had been in place for more than 5 years, originally done at another clinic.

Unfortunately, the bridge had fractured, with unpleasant odour and concerns about the condition of the supporting teeth.

After a thorough assessment, we discussed several treatment options with the patient. Ultimately, the patient decided to remove the two problematic crowns and convert the area to immediate dental implants.

This patient presented with minimal residual bone height — only 6mm from the alveolar ridge to the inferior alveolar nerve (IAN). With such a narrow safety margin, precise 3D planning was essential to avoid any risk to the nerve.

Using careful pre-surgical imaging and a meticulous surgical approach, we successfully placed 2x tissue-level implants, navigating safely around the IAN with zero complications. ✨

Our patient had insufficient upper jaw bone height for a dental implant. Instead of a more invasive procedure, we performed a Crest Approach Sinus Lift using a magnetic osteotome technique to gently elevate the sinus floor and create the additional bone height needed.
