Sesi Penyerahan Poliklinik A,B,C Fakulti Pergigian UM

Alhamdulilah
Pada 6 Ogos 2026, proses Penyerahan Projek Naik Taraf Poliklinik A, B dan C telah berjaya disempurnakan.
Projek ini merupakan satu langkah penting dalam memperkasakan kemudahan klinikal, pengajaran dan pembelajaran di Fakulti Pergigian, Universiti Malaya, sekali gus menyediakan persekitaran yang lebih kondusif untuk latihan pelajar serta penyampaian perkhidmatan kesihatan pergigian kepada masyarakat.
Setinggi-tinggi penghargaan dan ucapan terima kasih kepada pihak pengurusan Universiti Malaya, pengurusan fakulti, pasukan projek, perunding, kontraktor serta semua pihak yang telah memberikan komitmen, kerjasama dan sokongan sehingga projek ini berjaya disiapkan.
Semoga kemudahan yang dinaik taraf ini menjadi pemangkin kepada kecemerlangan pendidikan, penyelidikan dan perkhidmatan klinikal pada masa hadapan.

Alhamdulillah, another significant milestone has been achieved.
On 6 August 2026, the Handover Ceremony for the Polyclinics A, B and C Upgrading Project was successfully completed.
This project marks an important step towards enhancing the clinical, teaching and learning facilities at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya, providing a more conducive environment for student training and the delivery of quality oral healthcare services.
Our sincere appreciation goes to the Universiti Malaya management, Faculty management, project team, consultants, contractors, and everyone whose dedication and collaboration contributed to the successful completion of this project.
May these upgraded facilities continue to support excellence in dental education, research and clinical services for many years to come.
Together, we continue building a better future for dental education and patient care.

CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE FIREFIGHTER ORAL RESILIENCE AND CHAMPION EMPOWERMENT (FORCE) PROGRAM

On 7 July 2026, the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya, celebrated the Closing Ceremony of the Firefighter Oral Resilience and Champion Empowerment (FORCE) Program at the Petaling Jaya Fire and Rescue Station. The ceremony was officiated by the representative of the Petaling Zone 2 Chief, Selangor State Fire and Rescue Department, YBrs. Penguasa Kanan Bomba II (PgKB II) Muhammad Firdaus Khan bin Anwat Khan, in the presence of the representative of the Dean of UM's Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Marhazlinda Jamaludin, and the Petaling Jaya Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Tn. Syed Shahril Anuar bin Syed Sulaiman.

FORCE is a community project planned and implemented by Year 1 Doctor in Dental Public Health postgraduate students, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zamros Yuzadi Mohd Yusof, for a period of 5 months from January to Jun 2026, to address the oral health challenges faced by shift-working firefighters. Project activities included dental health education, basic dental treatment, healthy lifestyle guidance, environmental transformation towards a Healthy Fire Station concept, and the training of selected personnel as Dental Champions. As a result, 100 percent of the participants have expressed their full support for continuation of the program, with the majority recording an increased understanding of dental risks and making healthier lifestyle changes. They also received a one-year supply of oral hygiene kits from the sponsors.

The closing ceremony acknowledged the positive changes among the firefighters by presenting the Wira Api Wira Senyuman Awards, as well as officially linking the Dental Champions with the Petaling District Dental Health Office through the Ikon Gigi program for project sustainability.

The Faculty of Dentistry extends its deepest appreciation and gratitude to all strategic partners and sponsors, including the Selangor Oral Health Division, Petaling District Dental Health Office, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre Department of Dietetics, the Kuala Lumpur Quit Smoking Clinic, Enhance Dental Group Sdn. Bhd. and Haleon Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. for their strong support in making this initiative a success.
