Our teeth (natural or prosthetic) are not built strong enough to withstand the forces from biting on hard items. Biting on these habitually can cause micro-cracks leading to potential fractures in the future.

Nobody is perfect, a little sweet treat once in a while is healthy for our soul. However, too much may cause more harm than good. We want to avoid sticky foods that will stick to the grooves in our teeth and cause bacteria build-up, acidic drinks as they will erode our enamel, dark-coloured food as they can stain our teeth. Of course, you may still consume them. Just ensure you brush well and come for your regular dental check-ups!
