農曆新年的美食都含有高糖分，尤其是年餅、年糕等的甜食，糖分也是細菌最喜歡的養分。攝取高糖分食物會容易造成牙周發炎，以年糕爲例子，年糕是高黏度食物，細菌本身是高粘性，因此，吃年糕對細菌的增長是變本加厲的，對牙齒造成更大的破壞。

此外，華裔在農曆新年期間都會熬夜，此舉也會讓我們的荷爾蒙分泌不平衡，免疫系統也隨之下降，因此，提高被細菌感染的幾率，這也是爲什麽農曆新年后，牙病的病患都會一擁而上就醫，尤其是牙痛、牙齦腫、智慧牙問題及喉嚨疼，所以，我都會一再提醒患者注意飲食，盡量少攝取甜食，多注重口腔的護理及足夠的睡眠。

常见的问题有一下六点：
1. 蛀牙突发性疼痛
2. 牙周发炎及牙齿松动
3. 口腔黏膜溃疡
4. 捏合关节炎
5. 消化系统过度负荷
6. 免疫系统失调

Today is Malaysia's 64th birthday or Independence Day. looking back July 1962 when Malaysia and Singapore Prime Ministers met in London to pave the way for Malaya and Singapore, Sabah, Sarawak unification as a single nation - Malaysia. It was a touching, memorable moments for all of us. Unfortunately Singapore eventually separated from Malaysia in 1965 to become an independent country. However the life, culture, historical and blood link between these two great nations remains very close even until to date.
