Dr, I have an open bite, can we do something about it?

Cases such as these can be quite challenging as there are many factors involved while planning an anterior open bite case such as vertical angle, incisal display, habits as well as stability/retention.

Patient is mid treatment on anterior box elastics + extrusion attachments to extrude the anterior teeth.

Patient is ecstatic with the results so far, but we still have some ways to go.

Small changes, big difference!

With correcting minor malocclusions, the devil is in the details.

Patient is ecstatic with the progress and change to his smile and confidence.

We have also improved his gum health and condition by a couple of rounds of deep cleaning and reinforcing good home oral care habits.

Clear Aligner Treatment for crooked teeth.

Patient came in complaining of crooked upper front teeth and gaps in her lower front teeth.

Clear aligners helped to align and close all the gaps within a year and improved her smile and confidence.

Final few sets to correct some bite settling and then some aesthetic restoration for the chipped tooth to be done.

Can Clear Aligners treat premolar extraction cases?

Yes, they can! But with proper planning and with a proper aligner system.

Patient has completed a year+ of aligners and is going to begin her refinement (additional aligners for fine tuning) now.

A big thank you to the patient (she might see this post or maybe not haha), for being compliant and wearing her aligners on schedule 👍🏼 This is key to successful clear aligner treatment.

Question for dentists : Why is her extraction spaces smaller than a regular premolar to begin with?
