A gentleman came to our clinic and complained of pain in the lower right back tooth region. Mesioangular impacted lower right wisdom tooth is noted.
Here we go. Treatment begins
1. Take OPG to confirm the relationship between the inferior alveolar nerve and the lower right wisdom tooth. Caries is noted at the distal part of the lower right second molar (tooth 47).
2. Surgical removal of the lower right wisdom tooth was performed. Caries on tooth 47 extend below the subgingival & involve pulp. The patient refused to go for root canal treatment due to poor prognosis and agreed to replace missing tooth 47 with a dental implant in the near future. (Extraction of tooth 47 is carried out)
3. After 3 months, an implant was placed to replace tooth 47
Waiting for osseointegration now…..😄

***Moral of the story: Remove your malposition wisdom tooth before it causes problems to other teeth (caries/cavities), pain or infections caused by this little monster 👿, inflammation of gum around it & so on. Time to say goodbye to little monster aka wisdom tooth 🦷

A middle-aged female patient presented to our dental clinic with a chief complaint of a missing teeth in the lower right & left posterior region. The absence of the teeth resulted in difficulty with biting and chewing, was noticeable during smiling, and had begun to affect the alignment of the adjacent teeth. A comprehensive clinical and radiographic evaluation was performed, including cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). After a detailed discussion of all available treatment options, along with their respective advantages and disadvantages, the patient elected to proceed with dental implant placement.

一名中年女性患者就诊于我院口腔科，主诉右和左下后牙区缺失一颗牙齿。该牙缺失导致患者在咬合和咀嚼时感到困难，微笑时缺隙明显，并在一定程度上影响了邻牙的排列。经过详细的临床检查与影像评估（包括锥形束电脑断层扫描 CBCT)。我们与患者充分讨论了所有可行的治疗方案及其优缺点后，患者决定接受植牙的治疗计划
