A patient came in complaining of a bad smell in the mouth and upon checking, we found a failed bridge (connected crowns on teeth 35, 36 & 37) due to decay underneath.

Here’s an important reminder for anyone with a bridge:

Toothbrushing alone isn’t enough!
A bridge is connected, which means food and plaque can easily get trapped underneath. That’s where super floss (or at least a water flosser) comes in to clean under the bridge where your toothbrush can’t reach.

A case involving extraction of tooth 18-overerupted and non-functional, and upon further discussion, the patient mentioned that “selalu tergigit p**i and sakit.”

Tooth 18’s partner (tooth 48) never made an appearance in the mouth and without its opposing tooth to stop it, tooth 18 began to grow downward (with help from gravity) trying to fill the empty space.

Over time, this can cause pain when chewing and frequent cheek biting something our patient was already experiencing.

We are delighted to introduce Dr Nik Fatihah, who brings with her over a decade of experience and a passion for providing gentle, patient-centered dental care.

Dr Nik Fatihah graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2010 and has been dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles ever since. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and takes the time to ensure every visit is calm and comfortable. For her, good dental care is not just about treatment, it’s about guiding patients to care for their teeth daily, preventing more complex (and often more painful) problems in the future.

Her approach is gentle, practical, and always focused on making dental care as pain-free as possible. Whether it’s a child’s very first dental visit or routine care for an adult, she strives to create a relaxed and positive experience for every patient.

Outside the clinic, Dr Nik Fatihah enjoys spending quality time with her children, exploring new experiences, and discovering new places together. She also prioritizes regular exercise, believing that staying active helps her stay energized, both at work and at home.
