A soft-spoken medical specialist came to us hoping to redo her dislodged metal crown on a RCT treated molar. We notice there is caries forming on the molar and tooth is having very short abutment for a proper crown retention. Thus we did a endo-crown design for her and did gingivectomy with laser to expose more tooth structure. To do the this case not difficult actually, difficult part is her mouth opening very small which requires us to use multiple different techniques to deliver the results. Great luck is the crown is perfectly fitting which we don’t have to trim anything, if not will be another challenge XD 🤣

Patient had severe pain when biting on the lower molar which already crown for many years. We carried out Root canal treatment (RCT) to solve the nerve issue then rebuilt it for final zirconia monolithic crown. Tough RCT as four canals encountered, all cleaned well and no pain after. Own tooth still the best 🙂

A gentleman fell while riding bicycles and fractured his upper left central incisors. He is our regular patient and all the while we have been encouraging him to have braces to correct his protruding teeth, but he not keen. The fractured tooth is too protruded even if we wanna construct new crowns for him, so he agreed to do minor retraction to at least bring the front teeth more behind , so that crowns will be more natural. We then used two ways to help him, first using power chain with metal wire to bring in the left central incisor, then used removable Hawley retractor to further bring in both central incisors in few months. While retracting we did root canal treatment for his fractured tooth and the discoloured lateral incisor, and internally bleached it for better esthetic of final crowns. Finally we able to restore his new teeth with better colour, nicer outlook and alignment. He said he 因祸得福 ( get good fortune due to previous bad luck), now more handsome than before.. 🤣

Composite restoration is great choice to repair minor issues, the ability to bond to tooth structure makes it good material to modify shape and colour of existing teeth. It is a conservative way to treat a condition and always reversible.

Vertically impacted wisdom tooth can be very difficult to remove sometimes if there is lots of bone covering it, making it impossible to move unless the surrounding bones are trimmed off. Good anaesthesia is important to make sure patient feels nothing when we apply strong force to loosen the tooth. If everything goes as planned, usually the surgery still will be least traumatic as possible. In this case, the tooth finally was removed, surgical site sutured and no complications arises.

A middle-aged guy had pain over his left upper teeth, went to other clinic and had the wisdom tooth extracted. But then again felt similar pain over the same area, was then advised to extract his second molar due to an obvious crack distally. While he still in doubt, he came to us to check further. We did some tests and x-ray, suspected the pain may be from his first molar but not second molar, although just a tiny crack line seen. We placed a temporary crown over his first molar to observe, good thing is the symptoms resolved after a week. So we proceeded with impressions and fixed a zirconia crown for him. 11 years ago, we helped her repaired the teeth with composite material but warned the molar may fracture as the existing tooth structure already weakened, would need crown to protect it. Recently she appeared with fractured molar due to secondary caries, the tooth still vital and majority of the composite restoration survived for years. We then proceed to place a monolithic zirconia crown for her first molar and repaired her second molar with composite again.

A middle-aged man came to us hoping something can be done to improve his smile. He been brushing very hard which causing severe abrasions all over his teeth. He couldn’t chew well as the teeth all shaky and over-erupted. After discussion, best and suitable way for him is to have all teeth extracted and followed by full denture. He came diligently for tooth extraction every few days. After 3 months of wound healing, we then constructed full set of dentures for him in 5 visits. Finally he able to smile more for this Raya festival 🙂
