Introducing Dr Avinash Sri Kantha, our latest addition to our team of dentists at Pink and White Dental.

Dr Avi’s down to earth nature brings a sense of ease and comfort when speaking with him - something that is appreciated by patients who are apprehensive of dental visits in general.

Fun fact: Dr Avi is from Subang Jaya, the same home town as me. When a Subang person meets another Subang person in JB, we do wonder what brings them down south too! 🤣

Suction dentures (aka SEMCD or BPS dentures) are a kind of denture fabrication protocol that aims to improve retention. The aim is to address the issue of loose dentures which is very common in some people who are familiar with wearing dentures.

For people who have lost their teeth for a long time, the jaw bone resorbs resulting in loss of bone height.

This makes retention of dentures an issue.

There are no guarantees even with suction denture but we try our best for stability during function.

Non extraction orthodontics is a priority for most patients and some dentists. For growing children and teenagers, we try not to extract teeth when we can.

However, in cases with more severe crowding for adults or older teenagers, we will make a decision to extract teeth. This allows quicker movement and prevents gum recession!
