Why Tongue-Tie Release Matters (Beyond the Smile) 👅

Did you know your tongue is meant to rest gently against the roof of your mouth (the palate) — not on the floor of the mouth?
When a tongue-tie (ankyloglossia) restricts movement, the tongue can't reach up to the palate properly. This often forces the mouth to compensate by breathing through it instead of the nose — and over time, this can affect jaw growth, palate width, and even sleep quality.
A tongue-tie release (frenectomy) frees up that restricted tissue, allowing the tongue to sit where it should: resting against the palate. This simple change supports:
✅ Nasal breathing over mouth breathing�✅ Proper tongue posture & oral rest position�✅ Healthy palate and jaw development�✅ Better speech, feeding, and swallowing patterns
