Every course is a reminder that dentistry is never “just teeth.”

Attended Dr Ricardo’s course in Singapore, and it really deepened my understanding of soft tissue management — something that quietly determines whether a result looks average… or truly natural.

From managing gingival recession to approaching black triangles with better clarity, I’ve come to appreciate how much precision and planning is required beyond alignment alone.

It’s not just about closing spaces, but understanding tissue behavior, stability, and long-term aesthetics.

Still learning, always refining — because our patients deserve results that not only look good on day one, but stay beautiful over time.

Proud to be part of the Angelalign APAC Symposium.

I still remember a time when learning meant watching lectures alone—
following speakers from different countries, different time zones, trying to piece everything together bit by bit.

Back then, being in the same room as them felt very far away.

Today, sitting here, listening, learning, and sharing the same space… it feels surreal.

More than that, it’s incredibly meaningful to witness how far Angelalign has come over the years.
To grow alongside this journey, and now be part of it, is something I’m truly grateful for.

An entire lineup of world-class speakers, all in one place—
something that once required travelling across countries to experience.

Attended the Conference & Workshop from last Thursday until Monday.

The last time I joined 3 Masters was back in 2024, and I’m truly grateful to be able to attend again this year.
This time, it felt different — with a much better foundation and deeper understanding, I was able to appreciate the topics and discussions on a whole new level. Every lecture felt more meaningful, and every clinical point felt more applicable.

A huge thank you to for bringing such an incredible lineup of renowned speakers to Malaysia, and for giving us the opportunity (and privilege) to learn from the best, right here at home.

Beyond the learning, it was also a special time for me to reconnect with friends — both local and international. So happy to see familiar faces again, and to catch up after so long.

Joey first came to Dr. Karen because she felt that her teeth were very misaligned and wanted to improve her smile 🦷
After a proper assessment, she decided to begin his orthodontic journey with clear aligners (Invisalign).

Her treatment took 3 years and 6 months, and throughout the journey:
✔️ A total of 8 teeth were extracted
– 4 premolars
– 4 wisdom teeth

After completing her treatment and finally removing her aligners, Joey was extremely happy with her teeth and her new smile 😁
Not only did her dental alignment improve, but her overall facial appearance and confidence level also improved significantly ✨

This patient initially presented with a gummy smile.
Orthodontic intrusion was performed as the first step to reposition the dentoalveolar complex.

After intrusion, we observed:
* Part of the clinical crown remained covered by gingival tissue
* Bony prominence and inadequate crown height
* Compromised gingival architecture for the final esthetic outcome

A surgical crown lengthening procedure was therefore indicated to re-establish proper tooth proportions and biologic width.

Surgical approach:
* Osseous recontouring using Mectron piezoelectric system for controlled and precise bone removal
* Soft tissue excision and marginal gingival thinning with Pioon laser
* Surgical guide fabricated by ZENFY Lab to ensure accuracy and symmetry

Look at the tissue healing and stability of the gingival margin.
Love the clean papilla fill, absence of black triangles, and the smooth, natural gingival contour.

This is what predictable crown lengthening looks like when diagnosis, planning, and precision come together.
