🦷 Dental Implants: A Basic Introduction

Missing a tooth? A dental implant may be one option to restore your smile and chewing function.

📌 A dental implant is a small titanium post that is surgically placed into the jawbone. It acts like an artificial tooth root and can support a replacement tooth, such as a dental crown. Implants can also be used to support bridges or dentures.

Does “heatiness” cause tooth infection or a gum fistula? 🦷🔥

📌 Not directly. Tooth infections and gum “pimples” (fistulas/sinus tracts) are caused by bacterial infection, usually from an infected or dead tooth nerve.
