Do your teeth hurt when you drink something cold?
That sudden sharp feeling may be caused by worn enamel or receding gums. A cavity, loose filling or small crack can also cause similar discomfort.
Sensitive toothpaste may provide temporary relief, but it doesn’t tell you what is causing the problem.
If the sensitivity keeps returning, affects only one tooth or continues after the cold drink is gone, have it checked.
