Tiny bands, big plans😎

We recently concluded a braces journey that highlights why comprehensive planning matters. This specific case presented two distinct clinical challenges:

A Shifted Dental Midline: The centerlines of the upper teeth did not align to facial midline, affecting the overall harmony of the bite.

A Posterior Crossbite: The upper back teeth bit inside the lower back teeth, which can cause uneven tooth wear and functional strain over time.

Through a tailored braces treatment plan and wonderful patient cooperation, we successfully corrected the dental midline and guided the posterior crossbite back into a stable, healthy occlusion.
Achieving a stable bite is a collaborative effort between the practitioner and the patient.
Seeing our patients complete their treatment with improved oral health and a comfortable bite is the most rewarding part of what we do.

✨ Sometimes, nature doesn't follow the textbook.

This young lady was born with a missing upper right lateral incisor (12) and a peg-shaped upper left lateral incisor (22).

Many people would immediately think:
"Implants."
"Bridges."
"Veneers."

But in the right case, there can be another solution.

After careful planning, we decided to extract the peg-shaped lateral incisor and use orthodontic treatment to close both spaces naturally.

The canines were reshaped to function and appear as lateral incisors, creating a balanced and harmonious smile without replacing the missing tooth with an artificial one.

The result?

✅ No implants
✅ No bridges
✅ Natural tooth-supported smile
✅ Improved smile aesthetics
✅ Transformation from a broad, square smile to a softer, more feminine oval smile

When she first came to us with multiple missing teeth…She was worried of needing dental prosthesis to replace those badly broken teeth. But she is just a young lady and she is so worried that her smile would never feel “normal” again with the present of dental prosthesis inside her mouth.

But after studying her case carefully, we saw another possibility. 🦷✨

Instead of replacing the missing teeth with prosthesis, we decided to use braces to slowly move her existing teeth and close the spaces naturally. Month by month, tooth by tooth, her smile began to transform.

This is why we love orthodontics so much!
Sometimes it is not only about straight teeth.
It is about giving someone hope when they thought they had run out of options.
