This study aimed to compare the clinical outcomes in dental prophylaxis between rubber cup polishing and an air polishing system using erythritol powder, with or without prior dental plaque disclosure.
๐๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ:
Disclosing biofilm before prophylaxis removes significantly more biofilm in comparison to rubber cup polishing alone.
๐จ๐๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ข๐ชยฎ ๐ช๐๐ง๐ ๐ฃ๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ก๐:
1. Demonstrates a higher biofilm removal = efficiency in comparison to traditional prophylaxis with rubber cup alone.
2. A much higher clinician and patient satisfaction was seen in the group AIRFLOWยฎ WITH PRIOR DISCLOSING.
3. Treatment duration was significantly shorter in the GROUP AIRFLOWยฎ WITH PRIOR DISCLOSING.
