如果您发现牙缝之间经常被食物残渣卡住 任凭您使出九牛二虎之力刷牙或者剔牙 甚至把牙线弄断了 也无法将卡住的食物清理
那么牙齿的邻接面可能是形成蛀牙了!
可是同时您又会疑惑怎么都感觉不到蛀牙 直到蛀牙越来越深 牙齿开始敏感甚至痛了 才发现蛀牙!

所以一旦发现问题 您务必来做例行牙科检查

除此之外 您也需要定期使用牙线剔牙 才能有效地清除牙缝间的食物残渣 防止蛀牙的形成

Cavities in between teeth are commonly referred to as interproximal cavities or decay. To check for interproximal cavities usually an X-ray is to be taken, this X-ray allows the dentist to accurately assess the extent of the dental cavity.
Most symptoms occur are:
1.sensitivity to cold or sweets
2.having food stuck in between teeth 3.having difficulty eating.

The best way to prevent interproximal decay is to floss+daily brushing. Flossing helps break up the plaque that is present in between teeth,hence reducing caries formation. Fluoride rinses are also recommended in toddlers and younger patients.

Treatment for interproximal caivities or decay is usually fillings/restorations.

Dental sealants/ Fissure Sealants are a dental treatment intended to prevent tooth decay. Teeth have recesses on their biting surfaces; the back teeth have fissures (grooves) and some front teeth have cingulum pits. It is these pits and fissures which are most vulnerable to tooth decay because food and bacteria stick in them and because they are hard-to-clean areas. Dental sealants are materials placed in these pits and fissures to fill them in, creating a smooth surface which is easy to clean. Mainly used in children who are at higher risk of tooth decay, and are usually placed as soon as the adult molar teeth come through.
