Extended deep necklift
Chin and jaw angle implants.
Our patient is already showing excellent jawline definition, even though considerable swelling is still present. Most of the swelling is concentrated around the jaw angles, which is expected; it’s not unusual for postoperative swelling after jaw angle implants to persist for several weeks. A more established result should become visible at approximately 8–10 weeks.
Unlike a Mini Deep Necklift (which only includes one incision below the chin), an Extended Deep Neck Lift includes small incisions around the earlobes and behind the ears as well. This allows us to address not just the central neck, but also the lateral neck tissues and improve definition along the posterior portion of the jawline creating a more continuous contour.
