Endodontics is necessary when the pulp (the soft tissue inside the teeth which contains blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue) becomes inflamed or diseased .

Causes of infected pulp may include:
-a deep caries
-Repeated dental -procedures
-broken tooth
-injuries teeth (even if no visible a crack or break)

An endodontist removes the Target pulp, conducts are cleaned and sealed. If the infected pulp is not removed, it could hurt and swell, and may extract the tooth needed.

A restored tooth could last a lifetime. However, the necessary regular checkups son story!

Watch your prosthesis for you last longer and work perfectly :)
-Daily cleaning dentures : These house the food particles and bacteria.
-Clean teeth after eating : brush is best
-You can use ajax or comet for cleaning your dentures (It helps to keep them clean and prevents tartar)

Your dentist advises you to use your new prosthesis all the time (even sleeping) during the first days. Once the necessary adjustments are made and you feel comfortable, must take off the prosthesis before bedtime to give rest to your gums and your tongue and allow your saliva to make a cleaning job in your mouth. The next day, you can get back the prosthesis.
It is best to start with soft foods cut into small pieces. chews slowly with both sides of the mouth , until you get used to handle the prosthesis. Yes , be very careful with the hard , sticky or very hot foods, and try to avoid chewing gum .

Se han expresado preocupaciones acerca de los posibles efectos nocivos del mercurio presente en las amalgamas dentales.
El mercurio llega al cuerpo a través de los siguientes cuatro caminos:

1. Desde la cavidad bucal y nasal llegan v***res de mercurio a la circulación sanguínea y a través de los nervios directamente al cerebro.

2. Los v***res se ingieren parcialmente por el pulmón a través de las vías respiratorias. Así pasan también a la circulación sanguínea, dónde se transforma una parte del v***r de mercurio. Una forma del mercurio aún más tóxico que el v***r. Puesto que órganos como el hígado, la bilis el corazón y el riñón trabajan como un filtro sanguíneo, es aquí dónde se almacena principalmente el metal tóxico.

3. Cuando masticamos se desprenden partículas de amalgama en su forma metálica y se las traga. La flora intestinal natural transforma estos partículas y el v***r de mercurio en la forma más peligrosa del metal: mercurio metílico.

4. El metal se difunde a través de las encías, las raíces dentales y la mandíbula hasta el sistema nervioso central y al cerebro.
