What not to tell to your children on their first visit to the dentist? 🧒👦👧🧑

Maybe you are about to take your daughter or your son to a dental clinic, but don´t worry, there a few tips that you should consider to make everything go fine. 😁

1. Avoid talking about previous bad experiences: No person ever wants to hear bad stories of a place that they are about to meet.
2. Avoid negative words like: blood, injections, needles, pain, tooth extraction, or any scary thing.
3. Avoid bribing your son: Never say "If you behave yourself I'll give you anything you wish".
4. Avoid telling lies: Do not tell them that you are taking her or him to Disneyland, the cinema, or to buy a new a puppy. This will only get really angry anyone.
5. Avoid explaining what they will feel: Let the dentist explain what is going to happen, they know how to be friendly.

The most important thing is to explain to your kids that this is the best for them, that the dentist help us to be healthy. Act like it is something normal, then you can surprise them with activities that they enjoy. This is the perfect happy ending. 👨‍👩‍👦

Why is important to clean your tongue?

Tongue is actually a very important and sensitive part of your mouth, so much as teeth. The tongue helps the process of chewing, swallowing, speech and sense of taste as you know, so having complete oral hygiene is necessary.

This are some of the main symptoms for a tongue disease:

3. Dry tongue
4. Bad breath
5. Reddish color

Most of the tongue diseases can develop into candidiasis, halitosis and tonsil stones, but a tongue infection can be related to other oral parts as the teeth or gums.

How long should I use an occlusal guard?

The occlusal guard can be used for 6 months, however, the specilaist is the only one who can determine if it is necessary to continue with this treatment.

The guard is usually indicated to use it at night, and you must go to review appointments every month.

If you do not follow the indications of your dentist, the time of treatment can be longer to solve the problem.
