THIS IS NOT A CROWN.
This is a ceramic onlay: an aesthetic and very strong restoration that allows us to preserve as much of the natural tooth as possible.
It requires a special preparation and bonding technique. If we had placed a crown on this tooth, it would probably have come off because the tooth is too short. We don’t have this problem with inlays and onlays because they bond very strongly to the tooth.
