Cleft Lip and Palate Society of Southern Sri Lanka ( දක්ෂිණ ලංකා විකලාංග තොල් හා තල්ල නිවාරණ සංගමය ) , founded in 2002 at Teaching Hospital Karapitiya Galle, Sri Lanka. It is the first cleft lip and palate society in Sri Lanka, led by a group of doctors specialized in the treatment of cleft lip and palate with voluntary support group consisting of parents of children born with a cleft, adults bor
n with a cleft, professionals who care for children born with cleft condition & social workers. CLPSSSL today fosters the most extensive network of cleft lip and palate patients, parents and support workers in Sri Lanka. We foster and expand our network of health care professionals in education, research, development and clinical investigation to achieve more effective cleft lip and palate care. At the same time we support and guide the patients and parents born with cleft lip and palate with the help of volunteers. CLPSSSL is affiliated with the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery & Department of Orthodontics of Teaching Hospital, Karapitiya, Galle, Sri Lanka; the only station currently offering both primary and secondary management of cleft lip and palate in Sri Lanka.
