Central incisor root canal treatment and single crown, sounds easy, but reality isn’t so simple.

This patient fell and suffered from some injury, including a traumatized tooth #21, and slightly chipped #11. Tooth #21 developed sign of irreversible pulpitis with darkening of the tooth. As a result, we provided root canal treatment and full ceramic crown to solve his problem and restore his appearance.

There are many parameters to check about an intra-oral scanner. Something interesting about this case was the discovery of the ability to capture and maintain HD resolution from the scan with Alliedstar - Sensa scanner. Notice the dense mesh data when the scan data was imported and checked.

A case of unhappy smile and unhealthy teeth.
The patient was especially unhappy with the gray appearance on gum and uneven tooth color. The treatment plan included bleaching, endodontic retreatment, temporization for tissue recovery. In the end, we restore with new crowns customized to suit with patient’s face shape.

The patient came with a cavity with broken mesial wall. The tooth structure was weak due to big occlusal filling, thin buccal wall. Even if we redo the filling, the buccal cusp might break off soon. Therefore an onlay was recommended to cover the functional buccal cusp and restore the shape of the tooth.

Immediate implant placement on lower molar. Drilled through the root to create a precise path. The roots were then taken out, the socket was disinfected and grafted. We achieved a primary stability of around 35-40NCM, therefore we were able to seal the socket with customized healing abutment.

Utilizing digital impression workflow have several benefits:
-Flexible workflow and able to visualize the impression before sending to the labs. -Reduces material and handling distortion. -Reduces chair time.
-Can be sent directly for lab processing. -More comfortable for some patients.
