ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT/OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
1. Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
2. Preparing statutory accounts.
3. Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct.
4. Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries.
5. Managing petty cash transactions.
6. Controlling credit and chasing debt.
7. Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits.
8. Maintains workflow by studying methods; implementing cost reductions; and developing reporting procedures.
9. Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms control, office layout, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing changes.
10. Develops administrative staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
11. Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
12. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
13. Provides information by answering questions and requests.
14. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
15. Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects; expediting work results.
16. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
17. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
