Computer-guided implantation is a digital workflow, where the implant surgery is performed virtually according to the surgical and prosthetic needs of the patient, as the technique depends on determining the locations of the anatomical tissues, the amount of bone present and the patient’s prosthetic and aesthetic needs.
Computer-guided surgery has many advantages, the most important of which is the ability to perform minimally invasive surgeries. It is possible to perform dental implants without opening, doing flaps, or elevating the gingival and oral tissues.

الزراعة الموجهة بالكمبيوتر هي تسلسل عمل ديجتال، حيث يتم زراعة الأسنان افتراضيا وفقا للاحتياجات الجراحية والتركيبية للمريض حيث تعتمد التقنية على تحديد مواقع الأنسجة التشريحية وكمية العظم الموجود والاحتياج التعويضي للمريض.

تتميز الجراحة الموجهة بالكمبيوتر بالعديد من المميزات أهمها القدرة على إجراء جراحات أقل تدخلا، فمن الممكن القيام بزراعة الأسنان من دون فتح وجرح ورفع الأنسجة اللثوية والفموية.

يبدأ التخطيط لهكذا نوع من جراحة زراعة الأسنان بأخذ صور أشعه طبقية للفكين مع أخذ تصوير رقمي للفم بحيث يندمجان عبر برامج كمبيوتر خاصه للحصول على عملية زراعة أسنان افتراضيه تحدد مواضع واتجاهات وأحجام الزراعات ومن ثم نقل هذا التخطيط الافتراضي من خلال دليل جراحي دقيق للفم أثناء عملية زراعة الأسنان.
