The issue of accessibility for the disabled will be the focus of Disabilities Awareness Week 2023, which will be observed from December 3-8 under the theme ‘Inclusion in Action: Building Accessible Communities’.

Executive Director of the Jamaica Council for Persons with Disabilities (JCPD), Dr. Christine Hendricks, said that “accessibility for persons with disabilities is critical to enable their right to participate and to be included in society on an equal basis with others”.

“Without access to the built environment, without access to communication, without access to employment, education, healthcare and so on, people who have disabilities will be left behind...”

A few weeks ago I was blessed to have a digital radiology review.

I am amazed at how easily I forget certain things.

For example...at one point in time, I had learned that the little dark line on the snap-a-ray holder helps you know where the edge of the sensor is so you don't get a cone cut.
When I was reminded of this one tiny fact, it felt like the heavens opened up and the choir sang HALLELUJAH.

Sometimes you just need to review the basics again to make the world seem right.
