Objectives

• The Advanced Course in Laser use in dentistry of the University
of Genoa, Italy shall represent didactic education and practical
clinical simulation in the use of lasers as an adjunct to clinical
dental surgery and medicine. The course shall be conducted during a four-day meeting.

The official language shall be English.

• The course is designed to provide evidence-based advanced
knowledge in laser use in dentistry and to refine practical skills.

• The course shall explore four modules - laser periodontics and
implants, laser endodontics, laser aesthetics and laser photobiomodulation.

• The teaching faculty shall be members of the Faculty of Medicine,
University of Genoa and accredited International specialists in laser dentistry, as appointed.

• Successful completion of the course shall be recognised by the
presentation of a certificate. This shall define a level of competence that is consistent with an experienced laser user.

Objectives
• The Intense Fellowship Course of the University of Genoa, Italy
shall represent a course of didactic education, practical clinical
simulation and examination in the use of lasers as an adjunct to
clinical dental surgery and medicine. The course shall be conducted
during a four-day meeting.
The official language shall be English.

• The course is designed to provide evidence-based core knowledge in laser use in dentistry and to refine practical skills. Emphasis is placed on the integration of this course into the on-going practice of dentistry for each participant and their dental patients.

• The teaching faculty shall be members of the Faculty of Medicine,
University of Genoa and accredited International specialists in laser dentistry.

• Each course attendee shall be required to sit a multiple-choice examination, comprising 75 questions. The pass mark shall be 70%.

• Successful completion of the course and examination shall be
recognised by the presentation of a certificate: “Fellowship in
Laser Dentistry”. This shall define a level of competence that is
consistent with an experienced laser user.

Course Structure

The course shall comprise of four modules. Subjects to be covered
shall be taken from the syllabus in laser use in dentistry, University of Genoa.

• Each course shall be limited to a maximum of 40 participants.
Payment of course fees shall be payable before the commencement of the course and shall be non-refundable.

• Course participants shall be dental practitioners holding a current
licence to practice dentistry, conferred by a recognised National
Dental Body.

• The course is designed to provide evidence-based core knowledge in laser use in dentistry and to refine practical skills. Course participants shall have access to (or own and use) at least one dental laser and have (limited) experience of laser use on dental patients.
