🌟 Maxillary Full-Mouth Rehabilitation

This was a complex case due to significant changes in the patient’s occlusion over time. The patient had been using removable dental prostheses, which contributed to uncontrolled and unfavorable tooth movement.

The main clinical findings included:

• Midline deviation
• Horizontal proclination of the anterior teeth
• Deep overbite and improper occlusal relationships
• Severe tooth wear, with some teeth extensively worn down

Our treatment focused on restoring the teeth according to a carefully planned treatment protocol, while combining functional and esthetic considerations.

The smile was designed based on a practical and evidence-based approach, with the aim of restoring proper occlusion, improving dental proportions and function, and ultimately achieving a natural and confident smile.

Separated Instrument Within the Root Canal

Instrument separation is one of the potential complications encountered during root canal treatment.

Following a previous root canal treatment, this patient presented with persistent pain, accompanied by the development of an apical abscess and periapical inflammation associated with the affected tooth.

Treatment Options

There are two main approaches for managing a separated instrument within the root canal:

1. Retrieval of the separated instrument
2. Bypassing the separated instrument, followed by thorough cleaning and shaping of the remaining portion of the canal with adequate irrigation.

In this case, we chose to bypass the separated instrument and thoroughly clean and shape the remaining canal while maintaining effective irrigation.

Root Canal Obturation

Following the removal of the previous root canal filling material, the canals were thoroughly cleaned and disinfected using multiple irrigating agents to reduce the bacterial load and eliminate residual infection.

After adequate cleaning, shaping, and disinfection, the root canals were obturated to achieve a proper three-dimensional seal.

Postoperative Condition

This is the postoperative condition of the tooth following fiber-reinforced composite restoration, prior to the final prosthetic restoration.
